On Spirals, Part 3 was a new live work by artist Eddie Peake, commissioned by IMMA, as part of the exhibition Desire: A Revision from the 20th Century to the Digital Age, running from 21 September 2019 until 22 March 2020.

Looping motifs – sonic and danced – layered one over the other, purposely confounding and spasmodically synchronising with one another are presented in the form of a three-phased non-linear narrative featuring four gold-painted protagonists. Spiralling choreographic patterns of movement and sound make manifest abstract phenomena such as depression, psychosis, obsession and desire.

On Spirals, Part 3 follows on from On Spirals, Parts 1 & 2, presented in March 2019 at Arsenic Centre d’art scénique contemporain, Lausanne, Switzerland and is being developed specifically for IMMA’s Courtyard.
